Frequently Asked Questions

The number of sessions varies between each package. Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes, but can be extended. If the session needs to be extended, there will be no additional cost.

The times as well as the places will be decided with the owner.

Training will be done primarily at the dog owner’s home, as dogs learn much better in a comfortable place. At certain times it may be necessary to go to other areas to achieve optimal results with the training concerned.

The process of educating a dog should start as soon as possible, like the education of a child.
This can be from 2 months of age. The age at which it is recommended to adopt the dog and not before!

There is no age limit for your dog. In almost any discipline, dogs can be trained, rehabilitated and helped in any way. The only exception that may occur would be if there are health problems involved and if so, we will take this factor into account to ensure an optimal result for both the owner and the dog.

At CuraDog Training we specialize in all types of behavior, breed, size and age. Any problem that a dog may have can be solved with the help of its owner.

We have different training services. One of them is in-home training in which we take the dog for a season of 1 to 2 weeks to train the dog for you and return it to the owner trained. Once he returns he will only take 3 classes with the owner to teach everything the dog has learned and how to continue using that knowledge.

Private training

The trainer will go to the owner’s home or to the place desired by the owner to train his dog.

The advantages of this training is that the owner will gradually learn with the dog at the same time that the dog will get used to the owner faster.
The downside is that it can take longer. More or less than 2 weeks to a month and a half.

The advantages of this training is that it is much faster and also cheaper.
The downside is…You may miss your pet for a few days.

Group course

A course of 7 to 8 sessions with a total of 3 to 7 people. The training will be in different places. All participants will be included in a WhatsApp group in which they will communicate in order to choose the days, times and spaces available for training.

The advantage of this training is that it is much cheaper than the other options.
The disadvantage is that being in an area with more people, the trainer will not be able to focus only on every owner and it could become something more complicated.

At CuraDog Training we teach our clients different methodologies. The first one, called introduction to behavior control, is where we teach owners to understand their pet. Commands are the extension of this knowledge, also called basic obedience, where we teach dogs to understand us. They are two sides of the same coin and will help both sides understand each other better and thus prevent the dog from feeling insecure by not understanding what you expect from it.

If the owner decides to do a training where they want to mix packages, they will receive a discount from us once they contact us!

The simple answer is no. Although all breeds have different requirements and it will depend a lot on the dog’s environment, all of them, without exception, can be trained. However, even if a poodle can be taught to guard its owner or an English bulldog to herd sheep, not all dogs are best suited for the job required of them and may have different results.

Payment can be made in cash or by bank account.

Payments can be made in 1 or 3 installments depending on the package.
The first payment will always be made at the first session and the second in the middle of the package. If there is a third payment it will be made at the end of the package. The price of the trainings can be seen in the “prices´´ tab in the bar at the top of our website. They can vary depending on the needs of the dog and the wishes of the owner.

No. Depending on the dog, it could even be contradictory. In the development of dogs, it is necessary that they develop naturally until a minimum of 2 years of age. In this way, both male and female will have optimal growth and we can work correctly with their behavior. If they are sterilized before that time, we would be creating a dog with possible behavioral problems at a hormonal level.

It will only be necessary for the dog to have a leash, a collar and prizes.
For treats we recommend small pieces of sausage, ham or any type of meat. It is preferable that it is not dry food, since the dog is used to it and is much more excited by those already mentioned.
In case the dog is allergic to some type of food, please let us know beforehand.

It is preferable that yes, because that way everyone can learn at the same time. However, as long as the owner of the dog or the one who will be handling it most often during the day is present, it is sufficient.

An intake is an interview that the dog trainer will do with the owner of the dog in order to see the case personally. Typically this will be the case if the dog has a complicated behavior problem such as aggressiveness, excessive fear, and other extreme behaviors. In this way, the trainer will proceed to make a plan for the owners and thus be able to let the owner know.

For protection work there are different methods for the dog to adequately protect the house. The sports, the classic, conditioned etc. However, before starting any of these practices, we will require that the dog have basic obedience practiced, otherwise we will create dogs that are not controllable and could pose a danger to owners and outsiders.
